Do you want to speak at WordCamp NYC 2012?

One of the best parts of WordCamp is getting the whole community together. WordPress is unique because of the people who love it – and that includes you!

WordCamp is all about sharing knowledge and learning tons of cool new things we can do with WordPress. That’s where the speakers come in. Great speakers make a great WordCamp. New York has a vibrant WordPress community and we want to highlight your expertise! First and foremost, it’s about giving back – but speaking at WordCamp is also a great way to raise your profile.

WordCamp NYC will draw about 800 people at all levels of experience, all of whom are using WordPress in a different way. Whether you are a designer, developer, blogger, power user or new to WordPress, we are running an event that has something for everyone.

Topics can range from blogging tips to forum management, from “what is a plugin” to advanced plugin development. Perhaps you want to teach us how to find a good theme, reasons for using a child theme, tips on contributing to core, or something you’ve learned in your own experience that you just feel people need to know! At WordCamp NYC there will be presentations for all.

Do you love WordPress and want to share your knowledge with our community?

  1. I attended WordCamp three years ago – as we started out online blog/publication. Since then, we have become a very viable – revenue generating business with webinars, live conferences, e-books, sponsored ancillary blogs, interviews with current and former Presidents (Latin American countries)… and assorted other ‘signs’ of success.
If you have a panel.. or place where I can share some dos, and don’t and areas of caution… happy to help out.

@Kirk– Feel free to fill out the Speaker application

  3. Hey Steve, do you have any kind of deadline for applications?
